Air Assist Flares
Mission’s MAF air assist flares use proven advanced technology to achieve smokeless flaring when neither steam nor assist gas are available, practical or economical. Our flares range from 2” (50mm) to 120” (3,050mm).
Our MAF flares utilize a low-pressure axial blower to inject assist air via our proprietary design, which splits the waste gas into several streams at the flare tip exit. This increases the flare gas and assist air boundary, maximizes turbulence in the mixing zone while minimizing the blower horsepower required for smokeless combustion.
Gas Assist Flares
Mission’s MGA gas assist flares use proven technology to achieve smokeless flaring for low pressure hydrocarbons whenever steam or air is unavailable.
Our MGA flares utilize assist gas flow via our proprietary design, which splits the waste gas into several streams at the flare tip exit. This increases the flare gas and air boundary, maximizes turbulence in the mixing zone while minimizing the assist utility required for smokeless combustion.
Enclosed Combustor
When conditions require a fully enclosed flame the Mission Flares MC Series enclosed combustors offer smokeless, quiet, high-efficiency combustion with easy installation. Our combustors are designed to provide smokeless combustion of heavy gas vapors at low pressures. The combination of elevated temperatures, flue gas residence time and a turbulent mixing zone our combustors achieve up to 99% or greater destruction removal. Our enclosed combustors are engineered to meet the most stringent emissions requirements of NSPS OOOO, OOOOa and Maximum Achievable Control Technology HH/HHH code of regulations.
Variable Area Sonic Flare
Mission Flares & Combustion variable area flare tips (MVF) are high pressure tips that utilize the energy of the high pressure gas stream to provide smokeless flare performance. Each arm of the MVF tip utilizes a self-actuated variable exit area assembly that capitalizes on the high exit velocities & superior mixing from the high gas-to-air surface areas. The assembly opens as necessary relative to the flow & ensures operation at high exit velocities over a wide range of flow rates. By operating at a high exit velocity, the flare does not require additional assist media such as gas or steam for smokeless operation, even at low flow rates.
